Terms of Service
Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [Legal business name] (“we”, “us”) for your use of CarShare Tools, including carshare.tools, the mail.carshare.tools forwarding mailbox and our mobile app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. The Service is for running a car-sharing or car-rental business. If you use it for a company, you confirm you can bind that company to these terms.
Not affiliated with Turo
CarShare Tools is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Turo or any other rental platform. Turo and other platform names are trademarks of their owners and are used here only to describe what the Service works with. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and you are responsible for following them.
Your account
Keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and on teams you manage, including what teammates you invite can see and do. Tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Your data
You own the data you put into the Service, including forwarded emails, documents, fleet records and your profile. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display it only as needed to run and improve the Service for you, and to show other hosts the Host Network details you choose to share.
You confirm that you have the right to share any information you send us, including information about your guests, and that sharing it with us follows the law and the rules of the platforms you use. Don't upload guests' ID documents, payment card numbers or other sensitive information unless you truly need to.
Check the numbers
The Service reads emails and data automatically. It can miss an email, read one wrong or fall behind. Earnings, cash-flow, performance and pricing figures are estimates to help you run your business. They are not tax, legal, insurance, financial or investment advice. Check anything important against the source platform and your own records before relying on it.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- break the law or anyone else's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- harass, threaten, spam or mislead other hosts or anyone else;
- upload malware, or try to get into accounts, data or systems that aren't yours;
- scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, or get around its limits or security;
- resell or give others access to the Service without our written permission.
Host Network
Profiles, photos and messages you post on the Host Network can be seen by other hosts and, if you turn on the public map, by visitors. Post only content you have the right to share. We may remove content or suspend a profile that breaks these terms. To report a profile or message, email [contact email].
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent with: your signature, the work you claim is infringed, the material you want removed and where it is, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the owner.
Designated agent: [DMCA agent name], [Mailing address], [contact email]. We will remove infringing material and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Fees
The Service is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will show the price, billing period and renewal and cancellation terms before you subscribe, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Other services
The Service connects to other services, such as rental platforms, maps and integrations you set up. We don't control them and aren't responsible for them. Their own terms apply to your use of them.
Changes and ending the Service
We may change, add or remove features. If we change these terms in a significant way, we will tell you before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and compensate us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your data, your use of the Service, or your breaking these terms or the law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in [State], and both of us agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
Everything else
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
